asBattery: Battery percentage in iPhone OS 3.0
June 21st, 2009 by Mojtaba

Today we are talking about adding a Tweak the same switch in the menu Settings> General>

Let’s see how it works:

  1. Open Cydia and move to the Search section
  2. write “iPhone-notes” in the search and install the repository
  3. Go to the “Changes” and install the package called “asBattery”
  4. Install it
  5. Reboot iPhone

As soon as the phone starts again, which came into Settings> General> Usage, and you will find a switch on top that allows you to enable or disable the battery as a percentage.

The author of Tweak was tested only on the iPhone 3G, I have just tested on Original iPhone and it works well, but obviously only if you install the Firmware 3.0.

Danger! Beware of asBattery with 2G! Bricked my Blackra1n RC3 with blacksn0w v.3.1.2 2G iphone. After my phone was working perfectly, asBattery bricked it! Now I have to reload everything from scratch. Come on guys, if its a conflict with the MMS hack, just put in a simple if statement to check for it during install. This is not rocket science.

IF u have SBSettings downloaded, there is an option to turn the battery off in their menu. That’s how I had to do it after i downloaded this tweak.
