The Process
- Select an “.mp3″ that you want to use as a ringtone
- Convert the “.mp3″ to an “.m4a” using an audio converter
- Rename the extension of the “.m4a” to “.m4r”
- If windows says the item may not work or become unstable just continue
- Go to ringtones on iTunes and add new item and browse to the ringtone you just created
- Now sync ipod and your custom tone will be on your iphone
