Recently Apple released a new version of iTunes tto support the upcoming iPad. According to iClarified this major update stops iPhones and iPod touches which use the tethered jailbreak with blackra1n from begin able to reboot.
This, only applies to windows users.

Although iH8sn0w has released a fix for blackra1n, there is no reason for updating to 9.1 (except for iPad users) because this fix is not officially supported by Geohat.

UPDATE : THE IPHONE DEV TEAM HAS SAID THAT ITUNES 9.1 IS SAFE FOR ALL JAILBREAKERS AND UNLOCKERS. THE ONLY ISSUE IS THE BLACKRA1N ONE BUT HAS BEEN FIXED BY IH8SN0W ( link above).

Finally today, Geo Hot said that he has developed an untethered jailbreak which will work with the iPod 2G, 3G and the iPhone 3G S. Maybe it’ll jailbreak even 3.1.3. He added that it will be like blackra1n.

He said he will be releasing it soon and may also work on the iPad ( YAY! )

Untethered Jailbreak!

As I was testing a new app I’m writing, I checked out the iPhone 3.2 SDK. It has the iPad added in the “Device” section of the iPhone Simulator.

Anyway, I found a few things that i would  like to share with you guys:

1. What, 297 GB?

In the “About” section of the settings app in the smulator, the iPad supposedly has a capacity of “297 GB”!!!! LOL..Apple!

2. iPad Touch? HUH?

In the Safari app on the simulator, Apple has called their new revolutionary device the “iPad Touch”. WTF?

3. 6 icon dock!

This is just something I found out about the iPad. Apple, apparently has been inspired by the “6 Icon Dock” tweak in Cydia.

The iPad supports upto 6 icons in it’s dock! Finally!

4. The passcode screen.. A little different than the iPhone!

Here is a screenshot of how the ‘Enter Passcode’ screen looks on the iPad.. Small and centered!

5. File Sharing! Really?

Guess what? I just found a setting in the Settings app to turn ‘File Sharing’ On and Off.. Yes, you read that right.. File Sharing.

Wonder what that means.. hmmm… we’ll just have to take a wild guess..

6. The Photo Frame!

The idea of just letting my (going to be soon) iPad sit in that corner of the living room and display a slideshow of my pictures in a 1024 by 768 resolution gives me that fuzzy feeling inside. Yes I know you might think I’m weird but only a hardcore Apple fan would understand me! Anyway, ’nuff said.. Check out the Settings for the Photo Frame Option ( The small button next to the ‘Slide the Unlock’ arrow).

7.Media Controls!

Here is a screenshot of how the media controls look on the lock screen just in case anyone was wondering!

If I do find anything else before the release I will definitely keep you’ll updated.

Just like Mojtaba posted pictures of the inside of his iPhone 2G, here are a few pics of the inside of my iPhone 3G S!

As one knows, Apple slightly changed the iPad ‘Mute key’ to ‘Screen rotational lock’.

The important thing is that this new ability should be implemented on OS SDK so it’s time for jailbreak developers to bring this to iPhone users as well.

The Chronic Dev Team is still working on finalizing the GreenPois0n jailbreak for Windows, Mac and Linux, according to iClarified.

Below you can find a screen shot showing the application in action. The team says as soon as the iPad is available they will immediately begin work on a jailbreak solution for the new tablet.

Unfortunately they are not able to provide a specific completion date for the jailbreak, they also didn’t give any information about the version of OS they working on.

We are still working very hard on greenpois0n, but we will not be giving an ETA at this stage for many reasons

I can’t find anyway to jailbreak my iPhone … Here is the list of what I done in order to jailbreak my iPhone…

• PwnageTool ver 3.5 (latest version) and try to make a custom firmware
• Redsn0w (both Win and Mac versions)
• Install all older versions of iTunes (8.x.x) and try to downgrade to 3.1.2
• Blackra1n (both Win and Mac version)
• sn0wbreeze
• …

It seems that we should wait until the releases of OS 3.2 … Sorry!

“Mighty mouse (bluetooth) cannot be connect to windows on boot camp, What should I do?”

Finally I find the solution. Follow me:

1. Go to Mac OS X (Tested in Leopard & Snow Leopard)
2. Go to Settings
3. Open Bluetooth device preferences
4. Remove Mighty mouse

Ok, Now you can go to windows (XP,Vista or 7)

1. Right click on Bluetooth icon in taskbar
2. Select add device
3. Wait for windows to find Bluetooth devices
4. Select your mouse from the list
5. Use “0000″ (four zeros, without “) as passkey if required
