Warning About installous
April 5th, 2011 by Mojtaba

Today I found an interesting comment about installous on one of iDB posts let’s take a look at this.

What you do when you install App Store apps through Installous is STEALING, Stealing from developers who have worker hard on apps that they deserve to make money off of. After you’re done installing the equivalent of the apps I’ve (and many users) have paid tens of dollars, and in my case, hundreds of dollar throughout the years of using the App Store, it would be the equivalent of holding up a supermarket cashier and stealing a hundred bucks.

That is true, using installous is illegal. But personally I use it because Apple banned my country and I can’t download any thing from AppStore. Every time when I want to use AppStore I get 1009 error!

I think developers should first tell Apple to open the AppStore doors to us then claim against installous.

I want say it again and again, What you do when you install App Store apps through Installous is STEALING.

In my case, jailbreaking was the only way I was able to contact my family during the earthquake in japan. The apps and games in the AppStore are not personally worth anything to me, and think if I’ve paid for a game on console why should I have to pay for a crap version so I can be disappointed when I actually use it. As far as the apps go, what is there that you could need that isn’t on cydia with more options? The only game I can think of that is actually worth paying for is angry birds and that’s because I don’t like waisting time on the toilet.

If the appstore is not banned in your country, the least you could do is login into the appstore of another country by changing your country in iTunes and buy the apps. It is not the developers’ fault that the app store is banned in your country. They deserve to be paid for their hard work. You could always download the apps for installaous later on as you have legally purchased the apps!

Changing store country did not solve the problem because Apple banned our IP address the only solution is to use VPN connection which costs several dollars monthly.
I’m a developer too and I know the money issue well, But I can’t develop for AppStore because Apple banned us to come and join the iOS developer program!

only a dumb ass would think that changing the country would help, Apple does dumb stuff like banning countries and people because of location or problems. They made an entire new software that wont take windows programs unless you partition your hard drive.
If you don’t want people using cracked versions of ur apps dont make anym it’s a personal choice that I don’t use them but do your research before you bitch.
