BGR reports that they seen iOS 4.3.1 running on iPhone.
One of our Apple connects just installed the unreleased and unseen iOS 4.3.1 build on one of our iPhones, and we’ve been playing around with it for a couple days. We reported the changes from iOS 4.3 a few days back, and it really does look as if iOS 4.3.1 will simply fix bugs, hence the version numbering. Battery life seems a tad bit better, though that’s not scientific at all.
It might be released within next week. I think the major change in this version is to prevent unlocking or jailbreaking some device.
iPad
iPhone
iPod
AppleTV
As one knows apple few days ago released the new iOS (4.3) for iPad, iPhone, etc. I’m sure that you have read a lot in other sites about this new version. By the way I just can say that AppSync & installous are still work with this version. So if you can jailbreak your device you have the chance to use AppStore Apps as free by installing AppSync and installous via Cydia. Here you can find the instructions to do so.
As I read all iDevices can be jailbroken untethered on iOS 4.3.
iHashs0w has released sn0wbreeze 2.2.1 wich bring unthered jailbreak to all devices running iOS 4.2.1. According to iHashsn0w website new iBook fix was included in this version.
Sn0wbreeze is PwnageTool [Mac Only] equivalent for windows users. You can create a pre-jailbroken iPSW with Sn0wbreeze then restore it to your iDevice using iTunes.
iPhone Dev-Team today release a new version of PwnageTool (MAC only) wich brings untethered jailbreak to all 4.2.1 devices. As you know the major difference between PwnageTool and other jailbreaking solution is that with PwnageTool you can create a custom pre-jailbroken firmware file (.iPSW) and then restore it to your iDevice using iTunes instead of jailbreaking device on the fly. You can also prevent baseband upgrade using PwnageTool, it’s a good news for iPhone unlockers (iPhone 4 [Verizon] & 3GS) because they can safely restore to a custom iOS 4.2.1 pre-jailbroken iPSW and retain their current baseband and unlock.
as the Chronic Dev Team revealed last week with an untether for the 4.2.1 jailbreak, which had previously been a tethered JB for most recent devices since 4.2.1’s release in November. With their permission, we’ve incorporated their 4.2.1 “feedface” untether into today’s PwnageTool 4.2.
This version of pwnagetool also contain iBook fix and also solve AppleTV 2G Wi-Fi problem.
PwnageTool also includes two very recent improvements to the 4.2.1 JB: iBooks was just fixed by @comex and @pushfix last night so that it works as intended on DRMed books, and the wifi problem on AppleTV 2G was fixed by @nitotv, @DHowett, and @saurik. Both of these fixes will also be available in upcoming Cydia package updates, so if you’re already jailbroken you can wait for those updates rather than restore and jailbreak again.
Here is a list of supported devices in PwnageTool 4.2

As one knows Greenpois0n brings untethered jailbreak to all 4.2.1 devices (including iPhone 4 and iPad). -Read More-
Now the question is “How can I use it?” right? follow me.
The instructions is same for both Mac and Windows version
Above process did not install Cydia, instead you should have an app called “Loader” on your device. Open it and install Cydia. Note that you should connect your device to the internet using Wi-Fi or 3G.
In my opinion most users jailbreak their device in order to install AppStore apps for free on their devices. Here you can find a Guid to install cracked apps on your device.
You can share your experiences with me via comments on this post. Feel free to aks questions if any.
Recently I upgrade my iPhone 3GS and iPad (Wi-Fi) to iOS 4.2.1. Then use redsn0w 9.6b6-rc8 to jailbreak devices. Everything goes well, redsn0w recognize iPSW file (iPad1,1_4.2.1_8C148_Restore.ipsw), boot iPad into DFU mode, Upload jailbreak data and it says that the jailbreaking process done successfully. After that iPad rebooted but something goes wrong! Let’s take a look at the screen shot of iPad.
Cydia was installed but the icon image was missing and it did not load. It means that redsn0w failed to jailbreak device. Safari App aslo crashed and I can’t open it. I try to re-jailbreak but it fails over and over! Same happens on iPhone 3GS.
If you have any idea for solving this or if you experienced the same problem please let us know via comment section of this post.
Update 1 [Solution] The problem is in tethered jailbreak, both iPhone 3GS and iPad should boot tethered each time you reboot it. I knew that but this also applies to first boot after jailbreak. So I connect my iPad to Mac then run redsn0w and checked the “Just boot tethered …”. redsn0w reboot my devices and now I have Cydia working on them. Many thanks to our friends Wayne & Koyut.
Update 2
Chronic Dev-Team released Greenpois0n which brings an untethered jailbreak to all iOS 4.2.1 devices. -Read More-
