Google announce a new social tool named “+1 button”. The idea behind is that everyone can suggest the best link for a specific search result to their friends.
The +1 button is shorthand for “this is pretty cool” or “you should check this out.” Click +1 to publicly give something your stamp of approval. Your +1′s can help friends, contacts, and others on the web find the best stuff when they search. Google looks at your social connections to determine who to show your +1′s to and which +1′s might be useful to you. Your social connections include the following contacts: People in your Gmail (or Google Talk) chat list. People in your My Contacts group in Google Contacts. People you’re following in Google Reader and Google Buzz.

The collected data via this tools is behind what you can imagine if people accept this as a good thing. They can implement more powerful algorithm for page ranking and refining search results in several ways. They can also improve their ads targeting because now Google knows exactly what you want.
Let’s see it in action, open Google.com and search “Robert Bunsen”.
You can see the +1 button between title and instant preview button.
